MAAEP is focused on developing the market for Certified Energy Professionals in both home and office energy assessment and remediation - and to providing programs essential to the success of our members, their businesses, and our model in the community.

MAAEP’s goals:

1. Advance energy usage improvement of buildings.

2. Provide a conduit for communication between those involved in this industry.

3. Provide services to members that cannot be obtained in small groups or individually.

4. Be an advocate of the energy-savings and energy-auditing industry when appropriate.

5. Forward an attitude of ethical responsibility in our industry and its businesses.

MAAEP is building our capabilities to:

1. Provide marketing, networking, educational, and outreach opportunities for our members.

A. Marketing – Raising public awareness of the benefits of energy audits and remediation, including working with other trade groups and initiating radio and TV advertising.

B. Member Networking and Education – sponsoring meet-ups, seminars, and trade-shows for our members, featuring manufacturers and recognized industry experts to provide practical advice and share experiences, including business management and growth techniques, technical best practices, and market analysis.

C. Community Outreach – coordinate a “speakers bureau” for civic, commercial, trade, and citizen groups to promote the benefits of enlisting the services of our members.

D. Rationalize standards as appropriate to optimize them for our local climate and economy.

E. Be a resource for legislators and support our industry through legislative agenda.
